Today I went to the property manager’s office and asked what’s going on with the pool being closed? She told me that someone broke the aluminum hook that is used to pull someone out of the pool as a lifesaving tool, so they had to close the pool.

What???

That hook tool probably cost all of $20 at the local marina and someone could have easily bought one Saturday morning so the pool would be open to the residents.

But the property manager said that they left it closed to “teach the perpetrators a lesson.” Well, I flipped out. I am paying rent for the use of the facilities and to close the pool on a hot weekend becasue some teens got destructive and broke a $20 tool is absurd.
