No Papers

We went to the local convenience store to buy today’s paper. History was made last night with Barack Obama winning the election. We thought that the newspaper would be good to save as a keepsake. But the store was sold out of newspapers. We went to another convenience store to get a paper there, but they were sold out, too. So was the vending box at the Cracker Barrel by my house. The the grocery store.

What is going on? Did everyone decide to buy a newspaper today?

Why did everyone want to buy a newspaper as a souvenier? I don’t get it? Old newspapers turn yellow and attract mice in the attic. Why would you want to save a newspaper?
